I (John Michael Ferrari) am absolutely thrilled and bursting with pride to share some incredible news! My long-time music producer and collaborator, Pepper Jay, has been named Producer of the Year by the FPCM Media Awards 2025 – Red Carpet in Europe event in the Netherlands!
This is a monumental and richly deserved honor, and a big, huge, heartfelt CONGRATULATIONS to Pepper!
For over 35 years, Pepper Jay has been my guiding force, my creative partner, and the genius behind the sound of my music. She’s not just a producer; she’s an indispensable part of my musical journey, and frankly, my success is inextricably linked to her tireless work and brilliant ear. (In fact, as I’ve often said, “My success? Totally her fault. Blame Pepper Jay!”)
The FPCM Media Awards, presented in the Netherlands, recognized her decades of dedication and success in the music industry. Pepper has produced and co-written songs that have garnered numerous awards for myself and a variety of other talented recording artists. She has a magical touch when it comes to bringing a song to life, nurturing talent, and creating music that truly resonates with an audience.
Upon receiving the award at the Fletcher Hotel in Wageningsche, Netherlands, Pepper was, for once, nearly speechless, offering up a simple but profound, “Thank you! Wow! Now I know why people say ‘wow’ Thank you.” That’s a powerful reaction from a woman who has lived and breathed music for so long, and it speaks volumes about the significance of this recognition.
This award isn’t just a testament to her longevity; it’s a testament to her enduring excellence and her commitment to making great music. From our earliest collaborations to my latest single, “When Love Is Love” (currently For Your Consideration for the Pop Solo Performance GRAMMY category), Pepper’s influence has been transformative.
To Pepper Jay: Thank you for the music, the mentorship, the late nights in the studio, and for believing in my songs for over three decades. This award is so well-deserved. Here’s to many more years of Music With You!
