I am beyond humbled and incredibly honored to share some exciting news from Music City! The Nashville Music Awards recently announced their 2025 recipients, and I am deeply grateful to have been named Outstanding Adult Contemporary Artist 2025.
But the celebration doesn’t stop there—our music video for “When Love Is Love” was also honored as Outstanding Music Video 2025!
It Takes a Village (and a Lot of Heart)
They say it takes a village to raise a child, but it takes a truly dedicated “peeps” to bring a creative vision to life. This recognition belongs to the entire team who poured their talent and soul into this project.
A massive thank you to my incredible music producer and manager, Pepper Jay. Pepper, thank you for steering the ship and making sure “When Love Is Love” reached its full potential. Your guidance is the secret sauce to everything we do!
I also want to send a huge shout-out to the brilliant minds behind the lens:
-
Cassandra Cooper: Who produced the project and wrote the striking concept for the video.
-
Nyles Flagg: Our director and editor, whose visual storytelling brought the song’s “spark of connection” to life so beautifully in black and white.
Behind the Song
“When Love Is Love” is a heartfelt ballad about the courage it takes to seize a moment of connection before it slips away. We recorded this track at the legendary Beaird Music Group in Nashville with an elite lineup of studio musicians and engineers who made every note count.
Gratitude to the Community
I also want to thank Eric Zuley of eZWay Promotions for the introduction to Cassandra—you truly are the “social GPS” of this industry!
To the fans and the Nashville music community: thank you for keeping independent music alive. This journey is a wild ride, and I’m just happy to be along for it (and kept out of trouble by Pepper Jay!).
