Where Stories Take the Spotlight: My Tap Interview Moment

There are moments in life that feel like a full-circle reflection… and then there are moments that quietly stretch you into the next version of yourself.

Being interviewed by Matt J Doyle of Tap Interviews at the EZWay Golden Gala was one of those moments.

The energy of the evening was electric.
The room was filled with celebrities, visionaries, and entrepreneurs — each one carrying a story, a journey, a presence that contributed to something bigger than any one individual. It wasn’t just about being seen… it was about being surrounded by people who are actively creating, building, and leading.

And then there was the interview.

There’s something powerful about being asked questions that invite you to pause… to reflect… to articulate what you’ve been building, not just externally, but internally. Matt has a way of creating space — not just for answers, but for truth. The kind that doesn’t come from rehearsed lines, but from lived experience.

As I stood there, representing The Book Crawl, I wasn’t just speaking about a show.
I was speaking about a mission.

A mission to bring authors into the spotlight as thought leaders.
To create visibility beyond the page.
To remind the world that stories are not just written… they are meant to be heard, seen, and felt.

In that moment, I could feel everything that led me there — the early ideas, the quiet persistence, the belief that authors deserve a larger stage. And now, here I was, on a gold carpet, sharing that vision out loud.

That’s the beauty of spaces like the EZWay Gala.
They don’t just celebrate where you are… they expand where you’re going.

I left that interview not just feeling seen — but feeling anchored.
Clear.
Aligned.

Because when you speak your truth in rooms that are ready to receive it… something shifts.

To Matt Doyle and the Tap Interviews platform — thank you for holding that space. For asking the questions that matter. For being a part of moments that don’t just capture stories… but elevate them.

And to this journey…
This evolving, expanding, ever-unfolding path —

I’m just getting started.

Because every story is worth savouring
