Contracts and Contracting.
They are those dirty little words that we don’t talk about.
We just sign them. And, hope everything works out.
Sometimes they do and sometimes they don’t.
When they don’t work out what are we supposed to do?
Who do you turn to for advice?
One of the things The VID (COVID, as we call it in Brooklyn) has taught us is that just about every entrepreneur and soon-to-be entrepreneur has to understand contracts.
Our business depends on it.
Our livelihood depends on it.
Our families depend on it.
A major company just hired me to do a series of contract training for them. Why?
Because I just experienced a not-so-good experience with them, and I pointed out their contract
was not clear. It was confusing. And, the confusion hurt me financially.
I asked, how many other people have said your contracts are confusing?
Silence.
In that quiet and uncomfortable silence, I said, “I am a law professor. I can teach your staff
how to write contracts.”
I was transferred to an executive and four phone calls, two emails, and one virtual handshake later
the deal was made.
I have decided to offer the same training that I will be doing for the “major company” to my
eZway Family for a 90% discount.
