From Vision to Legacy: A Moment I Will Carry Forever

Standing in that moment, knowing I was seen through that lens of legacy… it was something I will carry with me always.

And beside that recognition stands another powerful force in my journey—Deb Drummond. Through The Women’s Channel, Deb has created more than a platform—she has created a movement. A space where women rise, where voices are honoured, and where leadership is nurtured with both strength and heart.

To be mentored by both of them… to be supported, guided, and believed in by leaders who truly embody what they teach… is a gift far beyond the award itself.

Because this moment was never just about recognition.

It was about alignment.

It was about every quiet decision to keep going, even when the path wasn’t clear. Every moment of choosing purpose over comfort. Every step taken toward a vision that once lived only as a whisper.

That whisper became The Book Crawl—a movement built on the belief that authors are more than writers; they are thought leaders. That their stories deserve more than a page—they deserve a platform. A spotlight. A stage where their voices can be heard, felt, and remembered.

Within the EZWay Network family, I found more than opportunity—I found belonging. A chosen family that reflects your potential back to you until you are able to fully see it for yourself.

And in that belonging, something shifts.

You stop questioning.
You stop shrinking.
You stop waiting for permission.

You begin to understand that you were never meant to build alone.

Receiving this honour didn’t feel like reaching a finish line—it felt like stepping deeper into responsibility. Because legacy is not something you arrive at; it is something you continue to build.

It lives in the lives you touch.
In the voices you elevate.
In the doors you open for others.

And this moment solidified something within me:

My mission is bigger than me.

It is about creating spaces where others feel seen. Where authors are given the visibility they deserve. Where stories are honoured as powerful tools for connection, healing, and transformation.

To Eric—thank you for seeing me.
To Deb—thank you for holding space for me to rise.

And to every author, every voice, every soul who has walked alongside me on this journey…

This legacy is not mine alone.

It belongs to all of us.

Because legacy is never built in isolation.

It is built in community.
In mentorship.
In belief.

And most of all…

In love. www.soulsecrets.ca
