When I was three years old, my mom, Karen, and my sister, Shelly, were killed by a drunk driver. That loss shaped my life forever and is the reason I started Kares Foundation—taking their names and their legacy forward.
Today, I put their picture into ChatGPT and asked it to create an image of them hugging in heaven. When I sent it to my dad, he became emotional, but he was also thankful. In that moment, it felt like more than just a picture. It felt like a reminder of love, faith, and hope.
Seeing his reaction reminded me why I do what I do. This mission isn’t just about awareness—it’s about honoring lives, healing families, and making sure other children never have to grow up the way I did.
My mom and sister are gone, but their story continues through Kares Foundation. Every life we impact, every person we reach, carries their legacy forward. Love you Mom and Shelly!!!
