On October 1, 2025, I had the distinct honor of being invited to a truly unforgettable evening at Dream City Church in Phoenix, Arizona. My dear friend Preston Weekes—the stepson of the legendary Mark Victor Hansen, creator of Chicken Soup for the Soul—extended the invitation, and I was thrilled to attend. As the CEO of the 500 million+ Global Streaming Network On the Marc TV, I’m always eager to connect with thought leaders and inspirational figures, and this night did not disappoint.
“Freedom Night in America”
The event, titled “Freedom Night in America” and presented by TPUSA Faith, was a powerful gathering centered on faith and conservative values. Stepping into the massive auditorium of Dream City Church, the atmosphere was electrifying, with thousands filling the seats.
The evening was hosted by Pastor Lucas Miles, a compelling speaker who set a powerful, thought-provoking tone for the night. The highlight, however, was the special guest: the iconic multi-billionaire entrepreneur and co-founder of Paul Mitchell Systems and Patrón Spirits, John Paul DeJoria.
DeJoria, a titan of industry and a fascinating personality, shared incredible insights into business, life, and the importance of freedom and giving back. His conversation with Pastor Lucas Miles offered a masterclass in perseverance, entrepreneurship, and how to stay true to your values while achieving massive success.
Honoring Charlie Kirk
A significant and deeply moving portion of the event was dedicated to Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA. Although I was informed he was being celebrated as a partner and pastor of Dream City Church, the visual tribute and the heartfelt remarks made it clear this was a moment to recognize his profound impact on the conservative movement. The stage featured a huge screen displaying his image and the words “Well Done Charlie,” and the main message emphasized celebrating the life, impact, and legacy of this influential figure.
It was moving to witness the deep respect and appreciation for Charlie Kirk’s work, which has energized a generation of young conservatives. The evening was a beautiful display of the intersection between faith, business, and political activism, all under the roof of the welcoming and impressive Dream City Church.
It was an evening of great inspiration, a perfect reminder of the powerful things that can happen when people of faith and principle gather to celebrate freedom and entrepreneurship. I left feeling energized and deeply grateful for the powerful connections and profound messages shared that night.
